Men's Open Division (No Masters Allowed)
Mike Frechette from Winnipeg wins first place, $1,500, in a field of 93 players from across the Midwest and Canada! Mike lost to Jon Yellowega early in the tournament but was smooth meeting up with Jon on the 'B-side' giving him one game (4-1). Which is more than he gave Blake Martell or Jeff Alcott, beating them both 4-0. Blake Martel, a strong Canadian player, won fourth place again, same place he took at Hinckley. Only Somphet Thongsouk gave Mike a struggle. Congratulations Mike! Great shooting! ![]() Somphet Thongsouk (h is silent) from Iowa and newcomer to Six Arrows tournaments took second place in the Men's Open winning $1,290. Mike beat Somphet 4-2 in the first match and again 4-3 to take first place winning $1,500! This puts Somphet and Mike in the Men's Masters divisions in future Six Arrows tournaments. Rory met up with Jeff Clare and beat him twice with one game at 5-0. Rory had been out with a hand injury but he's back! Congratulations Rory!! ![]() Jeff Clare made a fine showing his first time in the Men's Masters field at this Six Arrows tournament. At Grand Casino Hinckley in September Jeff took first place in the Men's Open moving him into the Masters category (not undefeated though Jeremy Goodner put Jeff on the 'B-side'). At Northern Lights Jeff showed everyone he was definitely Masters calibre by putting Rick LaPointe, Rory Hendrickson, and Brian Brunelle on the 'B-side' to sit in the drivers seat until meeting up with Rory again who put him in second place winning $680.
